Who We Pass You To
Every vessel on this site belongs to an operator in Labuan Bajo. This page is about what we check before sending an enquiry their way.
We do not name partners on this page. Naming a company implies their agreement, and where that agreement has not been given in writing, the claim is worth nothing to you anyway.

What gets checked
Four things, and none of them are a substitute for asking the operator yourself.
They answer questions
Specifically the safety checklist: crew certification, life-raft capacity, comms and insurance. Speed of reply is informative.
They are actually in Labuan Bajo
Operating from the port rather than reselling from elsewhere. It matters when something needs fixing at short notice.
They correct things
When we have told an operator their published figure was misread or out of date, the ones worth using update the page.
What we are to an operator
An introduction. When an enquiry is passed on, the operator pays for that introduction and you pay the operator's own rate. We do not hold your money, we do not issue the charter agreement, and we are not a party to it. That is worth knowing because it also means we cannot resolve a dispute for you — the contract is between you and them.
If an operator behaves badly after an introduction, tell us. It is the only signal we have.
This list is deliberately empty
There is no logo wall on this page. Publishing one requires each company's agreement to be named, and until that exists in writing a logo wall is decoration that implies a relationship nobody has confirmed. When partners are named here it will be with a link to them, and they will have agreed to it.

Who operates the vessels listed here?
Independent operators based in Labuan Bajo. Ask about any specific boat and you will be told who runs it before you commit anything.
Why is there no partner logo wall?
Because naming a company implies their agreement to be named. Until that exists in writing, a logo wall is decoration.
Do you take a commission?
The operator pays for the introduction. You pay their rate — nothing is added for coming through this site.
Who holds the licences and insurance?
The operator. This site holds none of it and does not claim to. The safety page lists what to ask them for.
What if something goes wrong on a charter?
The contract is between you and the operator, so they resolve it. Tell us as well — it is the only feedback signal we have.
